The Lunar New Year, or Spring Festival, marks the transition from one animal to the next – 2021 is the year of the Ox. Oxen are honest and earnest animals, that are low key and never look for praise or to be the centre of attention - they are intelligent and reliable.
In a year that kept so many international visitors away from the Sydney Opera House in particular, visitors from China SOH were looking to create a beautiful engagement/awareness piece that celebrates Lunar New Year at the House.
I enjoyed directing this animation to celebrate Lunar New Year at the Sydney Opera House. It was a pleasure working with illustrations by Sylvia Zheng and Rohan Cain. Audio by Catherine Engstrom.
